Our soup kitchen is the heart of our organization. It’s where everything began, and it remains the foundation that all of our programs grow from. Every day, it brings our mission to life — nourishing those in need and creating a space of warmth and welcome.

About

I’m a communications professional with a passion for storytelling, public relations, and nonprofit communications. Whether I’m interviewing community partners, writing stories that highlight an organization’s impact, managing social media campaigns, or covering events, I enjoy creating meaningful content that connects people with a mission.

Through internships with Project Host and Carolina Literacy Project, I’ve gained hands-on experience in strategic communications, newsletter writing, social media management, community outreach, grant research, and content creation.

I recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Political Science. During my time at USC Upstate I was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s honor society, and was honored to receive the Mellon Grant twice in support of undergraduate research.

I’m currently seeking opportunities in public relations, communications, and nonprofit or mission-driven organizations where I can continue growing as a writer and communications professional while helping organizations tell their stories and strengthen their relationships with the communities they serve.
